DESCRIPTION:Join the Movement to Advocate for Cosponsors for the DoP Bill. We are conducting Zoom meetings with Congressional offices Sept. 14-15. If you want to participate in (or help organize) Zoom meetings, and if you would like to join an advocacy training call August 20 at 9:00 am PT/ 12:00 noon ET, please\ncontact Nancy Merritt at nancy@peacealliance.org ( mailto:nancy@peacealliance.org ).\nWe need your help telling members of Congress to honor the International Day of Peace by preventing war and violence, and cosponsoring the Department of Peacebuilding bill (HR 1111). The US Department of Peacebuilding can become a model for similar departments worldwide. The Department of Peacebuilding Campaign supports a UN Resolution to create peacebuilding departments and other infrastructures for peace globally.\nEmail Nancy@peacealliance.org to be on the participant list and receive information and reminders about the meetings that are scheduled.  Attend meetings that others have set up and/or set up a meeting with your Members of Congress.  See flyer on DoP page for more resources and information.\n
