On October 2, The Peace Alliance, with support from Ben & Jerry\u2019s<\/b>, will be hosting our 4th Annual Peace Day Scooping Celebration!<\/b> We will be holding an ice cream extravaganza at our nation’s Capitol during which we will urge Congress to enjoy delicious ice cream and learn more about the<\/b> Youth PROMISE Act HR.1318\/S.1307<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Come help us promote the event, scoop ice cream, and educate your Representatives and Hill staffers<\/b> about our efforts to reduce violence and bring sustained peace to communities across the country.\u00a0 This promises to be a fun event with a tremendous impact. We are expecting 1000 participants, and volunteers will receive free Peace Alliance T-shirts!<\/p>\n

We will be hosting an invitation-only event for the staffs of Members who serve on the House Judiciary or Education and Workforce Committees followed by a larger main event open to all Hill staff, and we\u2019re looking for volunteers <\/b>who can help us throughout the day during these various programs.<\/p>\n
