Dear Peacebuilders,<\/p>\n

Register now to advocate on Capitol Hill<\/strong> for a U.S. Department of Peacebuilding (DoP) and<\/strong> other peace and justice legislation.\u00a0 Join us from September 24-26, 2018.\u00a0 If you cannot travel to DC, AMPLIFY<\/strong> our voices by calling Congress while we’re there.\u00a0 If you can come to DC early, join us for Pace e Bene’s Campaign Nonviolence Convergence<\/strong> events on September 21 – 22, 2018 and other pre-Advocacy Days options.\u00a0 Join us to build peace together. <\/p>\n

Advocacy Days in Washington DC<\/strong><\/u>
\nTo participate in the Peace Alliance DoP Campaign Advocacy Days, Register here<\/a> and see detailed flyer here<\/a> . We will meet with Representatives and Senators<\/strong> to advocate for establishment of a cabinet-level Department of Peacebuilding and for other peace-related legislation.\u00a0 This is an opportunity to work with like-minded peacebuilders and to experience walking the halls of Congress. Dialogue with legislators and aides, get an up-close feel for governance, and work to make peacebuilding a national priority<\/strong>.\u00a0 We will provide training and attend Congressional meetings together.<\/p>\n

Call from Home to AMPLIFY Our DC Peacebuilding Efforts<\/strong><\/u>
\nAs part of Advocacy Days, for those who cannot go to Washington, DC, we are asking you to AMPLIFY our efforts by calling members of Congress <\/strong>while we are on Capitol Hill from September 24-26, 2018.\u00a0 The call list includes:<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> your member of Congress;<\/p>\n

2) <\/strong>former Department of Peacebuilding (DoP\/ HR 1111) cosponsors who have not signed on yet; and<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> other potential cosponsors.\u00a0 Call as many on the list as you can.\u00a0 Each call takes only a few moments.\u00a0<\/p>\n
